Let the Good Times Easter Egg Roll?

Easter is just around the corner and people are FREAKING THE FUCK OUT. No, they aren’t freaking out about their Easter bonnet. They are worried about The White House’s Easter Egg Roll.

That’s right. And many see it as one of the biggest challenges of the Trump White House so far.

Yes, this is a real thing…

The Easter Egg Roll is a 138 year-old White House tradition. Parents and children are invited onto the the front lawn of the White House for an Easter egg hunt, hosted by the first family. It’s a pretty sweet tradition when you think about it, and ignore the separation of church and state.

The Office of the First Lady is usually who plans the event. However, Melania hasn’t hired enough staff, so the event is being planned at the last minute. It’s so last minute that they are having a tough time finding an Easter Bunny.

They have also waited too long to order the traditional commemorative wooden eggs! Egg makers were tweeting at both The White House, the President and First Lady, reminding them that they had to place their order soon, otherwise their Egg Roll would be eggless.

Then a Shero comes along…

Natalie Rebetsky, a teacher and Easter Egg Roll devotee, took matters into her own hands.

When she realized that the White House was dropping the egg, she did something about it. She made her own commemorative Easter Egg, an Alt Egg, if you will. She is selling them for $15 and giving the profits to PBS and The National Endowment for the Arts.

She only made 1,000 eggs, but you can get them here.

It will roll along…

The Roll is set to take place this Saturday, with only a fraction of the usual staff, a fraction of the usual eggs, a fraction of the usual bunnies, characters and celebrities…

Oh, and in case you were wondering,

Trump is supposed to be at Mar-a-Lago this weekend… so, who’s going to even host this thing…
