The Women’s March is quickly approaching. Last week we helped you with your hair, so now we want to help you with something much more important: What do you do when someone is wearing your outfit at the march!?!
There will be millions of us taking to the streets this weekend, in several different cities, even in different countries. I hate to break it to you, but more people bought that Nasty Woman t-shirt. It wasn’t just you.
As you arm yourself with your poster, your Nasty Woman shirt, your black skinny jeans and green army jacket, another woman is doing the same. Naturally your instinct will be to slap her and pull her hair – we are women, it’s in our nature, we can’t help it. Here are some alternatives to cat fighting
1. Compliment her!
This will be so difficult. I know. But you need to reach down deep and muster all the strength that you have and say something nice to the woman wearing your identical outfit!!
Some compliments to consider: “Hey! Great minds dress alike!” “You look awesome!” “This shirt is great isn’t it!?
2. Hug her!
I know, what am I thinking?!? HUG the woman who is trying to hijack your look!
Trust me, I haven’t lost my mind. This is crazy, but you may actually have more in common with her than you think. For one, you care about her reproductive rights, and she cares about yours! After all you are at the same Women’s March.
So, hug her. Tell her she looks awesome and we will all get through this together.
3. Get her number!
Look, y’all got the same style. Y’all are marching together already. Get her digits and get some coffee. Chances are she is just as heartbrok
