I am a survivor and this is my story.
It’s hard for me to say exactly what happened that day, because how can we ever really know. Sure, I was there. I had a front row seat. But the thing is, I didn’t even realize that I was there until the president and his staff were brave enough to finally talk about tragedies like Bowling Green and Sweden.
Me, before, during, or after The Thing.
I would talk about it more, but again, I can’t even really say what happened that day.
First, there was the initial thing. Woah, boy. It was crazy. All of those things happening. The sounds. I’m sure someone was screaming, like at least one other person.
Then those people who did it were all like “Do this thing. Do it now. Or we will do The Thing!”
All I could think was, man I hope they don’t do that thing. Please, oh please, whoever you are, don’t do this Thing.
But, of course, as you know, they did it. The Thing happened and no one is sure why they did it. But as someone who was there, and who lived through whatever it was that happened, I have some theories about it.
Before? During? After? Who knows anymore.
Her e-mails
People demand that their president use secure lines of communication. Hillary violated that trust and it drove those people to do things. Now, that’s why no one has any problem with our current president still using his unsecured cellphone. Nor do they care that he and the Japanese Prime Minister handled a missile crisis on an open air terrace at a country club that the president owns. That’s transparency.
Obamacare.
I heard the people who carried out The Thing talk about how much they hated Obamacare. They had a real problem with it. Before they committed their act, of whatever it was that happened, they all thought that the Affordable Care Act was better than Obamacare would ever be. I wanted to speak up, but for obvious reasons, I couldn’t. I wanted to tell them that the ACA was in fact, Obamacare. Obamacare was just one name for it, and for some reason that name made people, uninformed people, automatically hate it. Since The Thing, Republicans are working hard to officially repeal Obamacare, which again is the ACA, leaving the monsters who did The Thing, without any health insurance.
At least I looked good all day.
304 Electoral Votes
The people who committed The Thing, also kept talking about how great the president’s victory was. As they threatened us, or whatever it was they did, they couldn’t stop talking about how everyone got the election wrong. They kept shouting that he “only needed 270, but he got 304! It was the biggest victory in a modern election!”
Lessons learned…
I don’t think The Thing affects me in my day-to-day life. It’s mainly the president who brings up or reminds me of all the terrible things that aren’t and then takes away all the things that aren’t terrible.
